Sherry has a strong passion for higher education with over 20 years’ experience in the field in the areas of student support services, advising, and teaching in adult education. A self-proclaimed lifelong learner, she finds joy from playing a role in helping students achieve their educational goals. Earning an MBA from the University of Central Florida, she returned to her alma mater and serve as the Program Manager for the PRIME STEM TRIO program. Additionally, she holds an MS in Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and BS in Political Science, minor in Business Administration, from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU). At her previous organization, she served as Vice Chairperson of the university’s staff association, was actively involved in several organizations and committees, and completed the university’s leadership development program. At UCF, she serves on the Student Financial Assistance Scholarship committee and participates in the Black Faculty and Staff Association. A native Floridian, Sherry enjoys the beach, attending concerts and festivals, traveling, watching HGTV for home decorating ideas, and most importantly spending time with family.
